Did you know the Molotov cocktail is a Spanish invention? First used by Franco’s troops during the Spanish civil war, its iconic name however, comes from the Finns when during the Winter War, the Soviet foreign minister Molotov, claimed bombing raids were actually food drops. Soviet tanks found themselves frequent targets of Molotov Cocktails in both wars.
