On 14 June 2022, TripAdvisor released its Top Attractions and Amusement & Water Parks Travelers’ Choice Awards ranking lists and Spain hit the ground running with top tier performances.
Spain scores high marks in both the attractions and the amusement park lists boasting two out of the top ten entries and three spots of the top 25 list. While this article will only mention the most popular attractions and parks, Find Your Spain is preparing further posts including more information about less crowded and lesser known places, activities and experiences.

A site familiar to many travelers is the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia, Barcelona. Perhaps no surprise, the Basilica lands squarely on top of all attractions, outranking such icons as the Colosseum in Rome, and even the Empire State building in New York.
But Spain can boast further notable entries with the Plaza de España, Seville coming in at number six, and the Mezquita Cathedral de Córdoba, Córdoba lands a spot as number 14 of the 25 top attractions ranked in this category.

From landmarks to fun-filled parks, Spain earns top rankings in the amusement and water park category.
Spain’s top entry Siam Park, Adeje (Tenerife), proclaimed as the “best water park in the world”, is action packed. Siam is located in Adeje, a small town to the southwest on the island of Tenerife. According to TripAdvisor, “Siam Park, Tenerife’s water kingdom is already established as the best water park in the world”.
Spain picks up another top spot with the Puy du Fou España in Toledo which TripAdvisor describes as a “Travel through history in the heart of the Montes de Toledo”.
Wrapping up the top 25 list, is Katmandu Park in Mallorca with TripAdvisor describing it as a “Step into a mythical world of unexpected adventure, exciting rides, epic 4D encounters and splash park chills!”
